Violet and Alina say "thanks"
We received an email from Sandra to say that Violet Mashao and Alina Vukela, who were here on holiday in November, had arrived home safely. She writes:
"Violet and Alina have both arrived safely back in South Africa and they have asked me to let you all know and to send you all their deepest thanks for all the love, kindness and hospitality that they received. They have shared with me that they did not know such generosity and kindness existed they have never experienced anything as wonderful as this trip in their whole lives! They will be in touch with some of you individually once they get their feet back on the ground again. They cant wait for Sunday to share some of their experiences with the Congregation!
"And from me Sandra thank you all very much indeed for all you did for my friends, it is such a nice feeling to know that you have friends in Scotland who will welcome your South African friends in such a warm and generous manner, I was able with great confidence to encourage them to take this trip knowing that they would have the best time of their lives so from the bottom of my heart I thank all of you who made this trip for them so very special."

World AIDS Day 2007
The most recent World AIDS Day was on 1st December 2007. Please visit our updated HIV/AIDS page to read about the recent UNAIDS report. This report states that "South Africa is the country with the largest
number of HIV infections in the world" and "Southern Africa accounted for almost one
third (32%) of all new HIV infections and AIDS
deaths globally in 2007."
